1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Ask Alice. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ask Alice Chrome extension and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Ask Alice is an AI-powered LinkedIn networking assistant that provides:

• Profile matching and recommendations based on your networking preferences
• AI-generated comments for LinkedIn posts
• Personalized message suggestions for outreach
• Networking insights and analytics

The Service is provided "as is" and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without notice.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

3.1 Account Creation

To use Ask Alice, you must authenticate using Google OAuth. By creating an account, you represent that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• All information you provide is accurate and current

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or engage in harassment
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in ways that violate LinkedIn's Terms of Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

5. LinkedIn Terms Compliance

Ask Alice is a third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn. You agree to:

• Comply with all LinkedIn Terms of Service and User Agreement
• Use AI-generated content responsibly and authentically
• Respect connection limits and usage guidelines set by LinkedIn
• Not use the Service in ways that could result in your LinkedIn account being restricted or banned

We are not responsible for any actions LinkedIn may take against your account as a result of using our Service.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Property

The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Ask Alice and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your inputs to provide the Service and improve our AI models.

6.3 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI (comments, messages, etc.) is provided for your use. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before posting it to LinkedIn or other platforms.

7. Payment and Subscriptions

7.1 Free and Paid Plans

Ask Alice may offer both free and paid subscription plans. Paid features, pricing, and billing terms will be clearly disclosed before you subscribe.

7.2 Billing

If you subscribe to a paid plan:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• We may change pricing with advance notice to existing subscribers

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will be effective at the end of the current billing period.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or effective
• Any profile matches or recommendations will result in successful networking outcomes
• The Service will be compatible with LinkedIn at all times

9.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASK ALICE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ask Alice and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including LinkedIn's Terms of Service
• Any content you post using AI-generated suggestions

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Service and uninstalling the extension.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ask Alice operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ask Alice regarding the Service.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
